What is B & H Community Initiatives?
B&H Community Initiatives is a modern local charity operating in the area of the City of Brighton & Hove. We are a registered charity (charity number 1083390) and a company limited by guarantee (No. 03895574). We were set up in December 1999.
There are two sides to our activity. We are an infrastructure organisation that provides support to the local voluntary sector through running the City Volunteer Centre and the Performance Development Service. We can offer a well managed home to projects that do not want or need to set themselves up as an independent charity. We also manage a number of projects that improve the quality of life of disadvantaged people. For further information click the project links to the side.
Our Mission
B&H Community Initiatives addresses the needs of the people of Brighton & Hove by offering a home to projects and support to organisations that share our commitment to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of the city’s residents. We strive to be a beacon of good practice in the management of projects and the promotion of volunteering.

To create a society in which all people are valued and have the opportunity to achieve quality of life and well-being.
